Three bundled-up buddies are looking to find treasure on a wintry summit (with a little help from your directions) in Path of Giants.
Bern, Matchi, and Totch are on the lookout for lost wealth, and their friendship and cooperation will be just the things to make sure they get wealthy together. You’ll guide them through a series of puzzling environments made up of odd machines and mechanisms. By swapping between the three of them, you should slowly be able to figure out what all of these devices do, and how you can use them to open the way forward.
You colorful buddies all have specific devices they can use, which are conveniently color-coded as well. This means you’ll need to take a specific route to solve each room’s puzzle, but without a time or turn limit aiming to stress you out, there’s lots of time to decide what you want to do next. You can also easily undo any more you make, so if you feel you goofed up, it only takes a few moments to go back and fix it. The game’s main goal isn’t to put pressure on you to solve these puzzles quickly or efficiently, but rather to just enjoy the landscapes and gently coax your brain into figuring things out.
Path of Giants is a calming puzzle game filled with lovely sights to take in as you unravel its puzzles, creating an excellent experience to unwind with while still giving your brain a decent (but calming) workout.
Path of Giants is available now on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam.
